are thes fish easy to care for and ok with small tetras to angels?

They are relatively easy to keep, they get big and will snack on anything they can fit in there mouths.... your small tetra's may become and expensive snack.

Easy to care for, I have a 6 or so inch one now.

When healthy they look like they have swallowed a golf ball, fat buggers.

Never had an issue with mine and tetras but it can be an issue I believe. There are 2 angels in the tank as well that it completely ignores

They will be fine. i keep a 6" upside down catfish and their moth's are tiny don't worry it'll be ok however they are greedy eaters and not hard to care for.
