Here we have Felix, an adult synodontis eupterus approx 7.5" long. fairly quiet hides alot reason for sale is due to him always being in hiding and the fact that he would probably benefit from a larger tank with more hiding places and now decides he doesn't like my pleco's so bully's them out of his way, i will be giving his favorite hiding place away with him which is a hollow log type ornament.really need to find him a new home now

any questions please feel free to ask

Anyone want him??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I would love to have him if there was some way of getting him safely to London. Not keen on posting, had some rare snails posted which were DOA

I think he would go fine with my malawi cichlids and he would be the biggest fish in there as my cichlids are around 3.5". but I only have a 4ft and he seems too big for that tank size. Otherwise I might have taken him.

Minimum recommended tank size for these is 40 gallons i'm told, but according to http://www.seriouslyfish.com/profile.php?genus=Synodontis&species=eupterus&id=275 they say Minimum Tank Size
48" x 12" x 12" (120x30x30cm) - 110 litres. which is 29.2 us gallons they also say for compatability
Should not be kept with any fish so small as to be considered food. Ideal tankmates include Alestiid tetras, robust cichlids (particularly West African species), Mormyrids, Knifefish, Gouramis and larger rasboras and barbs. It tends to become slightly territorial as it matures, especially towards other Synos. However any aggression is usually far less pronounced than in some other members of the genus and it can be maintained in a small group in a suitably sized aquarium, provided each fish is given a refuge to call home. Not recommended for the general community due to its adult size.
at the moment he's currently with 1 bala shark, 2 silver dollars, 2 smallish plecos, 3 mollies, 4 guppies, a odd platy, 4 flying foxes, 5 apple snails and 3 weather loaches and the only thing he's shown interest in is the plecos

Hope this helps
Phil

Mine is a 40g, but even I think 4ft is way to small for him and is best to be in atleast a 6ft at 7". I was considering to take him but now I don't think he would be suitable for my tank as he wouldn't be able to move around too much and hide at all as caves are way to small for him. He would probably drop a couple of rocks from top where it is sturdy and doesn't move but they are not connecting to anything. Hope you do find him a bigger home, hopefully a 6ft.

Just wanted to know does he ever go upside down often?

very often and the log he has claimed as his own he squeezes himself in to, i must agree a bigger tank would be better for him but in all fairness he doesn't move from his corner very often
