Hey guys and gals, :hyper:
I'm pretty new to this, so bear with me,
Ive got a 35ltr tank, with 3 cherry barbs, 2 head light tetras and 2 rosy tetras.

anyway, the girlfriend wants some swordtails, it'll be a couple of weeks before i can get them anyway.
are they going to be nipped at?

thanks. :good:

You must mean will the swordtail nip at all? and yes perhaps, during breeding. Now considering you only have a 35l tank, you would be pushing it in terms of overstocking. Perhaps get 1 or 2 max, but if they breed (which isnt really hard) then you will need to consider that also

i would say a defo no no to a 35litre tank as its only a foot wide so will not be enough room in my opinion for swordtails.
cherry barbs as well need a bigger tank also

a bit if both, i.e. will the swordtails nip, or will they get nipped themselves?
:look:
also, would 2 females together go ok? don't think i could handle breeding yet :hyper:

thanks

any other suggestions then? :fish:

the girlfriend wants a splash of colour. :hyper:

p.s its 1ft 8inches.

Just be aware of how many fish you have in a community tank of 35ltr. personally i wouldn't add the swordtails unless the tank was of larger capacity.

The stocking levels as it is limit, i wouldnt add anything else at all, no guppies, swords or anything
