Hi I am new here and I have a 20 gallon tank, it has 3 platys, 2 mollies one dalmatian and one sailfin and a guppy. The dalmatian molly had an open sore near her gill so the petstore told me it was probably bacteria infection so I started treating the tank with marcyn, now I have noticed our sailfin is swimming and eating fine but when he floats his body floats upwards, I have been reading alot could it be swim bladder and what do I need to do, please help
Thanks

mate,as you found your Molly sick..you must take out your only Molly to the hospital tank. This is the first step to ensure that the disease will not effect to the all fishes in the tank. And, secondly..when you added the medicine directly to the fish tank, i'm afraid it will effect to the healthy fish too..
Remember, medicine is for fish that SICK only..

Swim bladder is occur when your fish tends to sink when it's swimming.
Treatment: Treat with Antibiotic in a clean, shallow tank( Hospital tank). Change the water frequently. But, this disease is difficult to treat successfully.
Once you move the fish to the hospital tank..leave it for at least 2 weeks after symptoms have disappeared. good luck!~ :good:
