Sustrate Or Tabs?

Hi,

Quick question. Im currently starting my tank again and in the past I have used TetraPlant Complete Substrate under the gravel. My question is should i replace it or would I be just as good using the tablets which you put near the plant roots.

I would always use a nutrient rich substrate rather than tabs because it's not just the nutrients already in it but it's ability to take in nutrients too. Its CEC is something to be considered.

TetraComplete is fine but for virtually the same money I would go for Tropica Plant Substrate under the gravel/sand.
