Hi Peeps,

Im so thrilled, my bristlies have mated and I have eggs, the sad part is Mr Bristles has kicked the eggs out, but all is not lost as I have saved them, I have moved them to a tank until they hatch, I added an airstone, heater & some meth blue.

having had spawning bristles for several years, I have only seen this happen once. The reason was the cave was a tad too small for them, so you may want to think about getting a new cave.

TwoTankAmin, I was wondering if you know the best size cave compaired to the size of the pleco. Mine is currently in a 25mm pvc pipe thats about 15cm long and the pleco is about 8-9cm long with a wingspan (pectoral finspan) of about 3.5-4cm. I don't know if he is kicking a few out or if they are wiggling out themselves. Possibly the latter as my wife just spotted dad pushing a couple back into the cave.
