After a few WC from my C. Sterbai breeding tank, C. Trilineatus spawned this morning. They are in this new tank for less than 2 weeks. Eggs are slightly larger than C. Sterbai's, but the breeding fish and batch size are much smaller. Can't wait till the final count.

wayhay congrats to you :good: ,the most mine ever spawn was around 15 so it will be interesting to see how many yours do :)

I think they started this morning about 7am, and they are still on it now (2pm). Very interestingly, only 1 egg laid per T-position. So far, I am guess I should have about 20-30 eggs. I will wait till them to finish before I collect the eggs.

lol werent you just saying they wouldnt breed for you?

well done and congrats :D

You are exactly right. I thought they are timid and will not spawn for me, but I now think I was wrong.

Ps. I think the folklore of using spawning tank water justified in this case.

I reckon mine might have had more if the platys left them alone

Have you done an egg count yet? :)

I collected all the eggs around 7pm. Took me a while to get them "all", of course, too tired too count everyone (I got 200+eggs yesterday from my sterbai), I think about 50 eggs.

There is a storm in my area. All of my corys are very excited. C. trilineatus laid about 50 more eggs today. And C. sterbai just non-stop for the past 3 days.

cool, nice 1, what do you do with all the babies. do you have like billions of tanks
