Should be getting the new tank this weekend and it will be build with support straps on the inside around the top and ime not sure how wide they will be.

My question is that with the straps around the tank do you have any ideas how i can fit my equipment in the tank like my inlet and outlet pipe for my external fluval 205 filter as they fix to the tank with supplied clips and with the straps around the top of the tank i highly doubt the clips for the pipes will fit over them??

And as for the skimmer which is a TMC v2 skim 400 it fixes to the tank with a bracket the slips over the side of the tank and then u tighten it with a plastic screw but again i dont think it will fit over the straps.

I think ill be ok with the inlet and outlet on the skimmer but if they both need to be extended that wont be any problems to do.

Would much appreciate any advice if anyone has come across the same problems.

been thinking of ways i should be able to do it as ive got some spare perspex arpund the house and i should be able to make up some brackets pretty easily that will slide over the support straps and with a few cable ties it should hold everything in place.

i would try and explain what i meen but it would be very hard to explain.

You will probably find the Fluval pipes are wide enough to fit over the support straps. But if you take the skimmer and filter into the shop and show them where you want the things to sit. They can shorten the support strips a couple of inches at one end for the skimmer and pipes if need be.

yea i could of done that but thing is the tank was ordered 3 weeks ago so will most prob be built by now its just a case of when he does a delivery to the store.

I cant think why i didnt think of it at the time......ya never know the tank builder may of fort about it and left some space at the back corner of the tank for the inlet and outlet pips for the filter.....but then again they may not of as they wasnt realy instructed 2.

Pretty sure i can make somthing up to fit everything to the tank.
