Superman's Bubble tank

Help me find amphibians (that aren't totally aquatic like ADFs or ACFs) that can utilize this tank! Newts worked great but then I had to move them out of this tank because they can't handle the hight temps of tropical fish.

Well, turtles and crabs come to mind. Or you could get a mudskipper. They are kinda funny looking, but could be really cool.

all it took was some silicone and two pieces of plexi. It was very easy, then just put a bubbler under the gravel under the bubble and wahlah!! HMMMMMM...I think I am seeing another DIY post coming up...

Thanks for the support guys, I thought it might be a good idea, and just went ahead and tried it. You can't feed crickets to the newts when using this set up (obviously, unless you have aquatic crickets ) you just use newt bites, or any other freeze dried food. I will post a DIY in a couple of minutes.

Here is a picture of one of my newts and a frog inside the bubble. I did have frogs in there, but they stopped eating, so I moved them.

If ya want a really hardy anphibian get an axolotl! some of them may not crawl out of the water but they only need to be fed after about a week and my friends one went 18mnths without food*. They grow to about 20cms and live about 15 years. They might get a bit nippy so in that case you feed them smaller amounts once a day. They eat meat and will live in tropical temps. You might want to check them out.

Axolotls actually are supposed to be kept at even lower temps than most newts. Axolotls are supposed to be kept between 60 and 68 degrees, so they are far from tropical. Though they may be tough enough to be kept at tropical temps, they are far from happy above 68 degrees. I think that I may just have to get some cold water fish and then I can keep just about whatever newt I want!

I live in New Zealand, it is just about tropical temps all of the time. The heater is just about never on and the thermometer aggrees. I kept axolotls before and they were really happy and I heard that they don't mind tropical temps but are just less active in cold temps so I guess that you could look up on them or just get cold fish.

Sorry posting again but is that box covered by water I can't really tell if so hhow do you feed them? I mean without the water getting in?

I feed the newts newt bits, meat, and wax worms, all wich float to the bottom of the tank. Yes there is water above the "bubble" I don't acutally put food inside the bubble, the newts have to go into the water to feed.
