Super Sense Of Snails...

In my heavily-planted 36 inch 'Tetra tank' I keep two Sulawesi gold spotted rabbit snails – hoping that they will breed. Last night I dropped some sinking green mussel pellets into a corner of the tank (to see if the Tetras were interested). Within minutes, the two snails had detected them, moved in from wherever they had been in the tank, and were feasting on the pellets.
I shall try this with all my other varieties of snail. It will be interesting to see if there is any difference in the senses/intelligence of other species.
All right, I need to get a life...
