where should i place it? i thought in a shadow with high flow?

what should i feed, BS? marine snow? what does marine snow do?

Hi Truck,
Your probably well aware that I have one in my nano from the pics

As you can see I dont hide mine away. IMHO they dont need to be shoved in caves where their full beauty cannot be appreciated.
The only problem I find when someone new aquires this species (Tubastraea) for the first time is the problem of getting it to open.
This I put down to flow rather than squirting food around it. I remove the flow from mine and wait a while then I turn on the flow again, seems to do the trick.
As for feeding I only spot feed mine 3 times a week, which I feel is adequate as it is producing more and more heads.
I feed Live Phytoplankton, Live BBS, Frozen Cyclopeeze, Mysis shrimp, Krill pacifica and Brineshrimp.
Beware not to overfeed as this will play havoc with your Nitrate and Phosphate levels.
All in all they are pretty easy to look after and are a beautiful addition to any reef aquarium.
Hope that was of some help
Regards
BigC

most people that i have seen, feed there fish first which will encourage them to open then turn the lights out and then feed when the polyps open

Hi Gary,
No its not always open, as I said before I believe its linked to flow patterns.
Though it does need to be open to be able to feed it.
It will open in darkness, night time, but thats no good to you so,
Disrupt the flow around it, strong flow, and then start up again. You can use live phytoplankton if you so wish, squirted in the vicinity and all around it.
Let me know how you get on

Sorry so shud i turn off all my power heads when feeding it then turn them back on! i have a computer linked to my tank witch i can set up for "feeding times" so i can push it and it will stop all flow!
