hopefully the end of the month ill be converting my rio 125 to salty and I've been thinking today about putting a sump on it to hide equipment and for extra water volume.
think im gonna go down the route of drilling the tank and fitting a durso to it but im not sure where the return feed would come from the sump into the display tank

usually you split the sump into compartments and the return pump will sit in the last compartment. I run my return pump through flexible pipe and over the top of the tank. I dont like drilling loads and loads of holes in my tanks.

as big as you have room for. YOu dont use the whole tank as you need a bit of room incase you get a power cut. Think what equipment you gotta fit in there too,

personally i would use the twin standpipe method.

I tried using a durso, but was too noisy as its in my bedroom. The twin standpipe is silent, however i was trying to put around 4000-5000 litres per hour though it. With a smaller flow im sure it would be ok
