I have a 20 g tank and i would really like to get rid of my filter, heater, and protein skimmer.
I have an extra 2.5 g tank that i would like to use as a sump. Would this be a good idea?
If so can someone show me some simple and cheap plans?

If not what about a 10g sump?

theres no max size limit of the sump only a minimum.

depends how you set it up, but the sump will need to accomodate any back suction from the main tank if there was a power cut etc....

no reason why you couldn't have the 10g as a sump. in fact out of a 2g or a 10g, i'd pick the 10 as its more volume for your system and you can do more with it.

if you want really cheap you dont need partitions just in one end out the other then place everything else in the middle
