I would like to build my own sump filtration. I have my design planned, but I don't want to use over flow box. I would rather have 2 possibly 3 bulkhead wiers(I think that's what they are called).
Now i have seen them on many tanks, and they are placed 2-3" down from the top contained in a small box. But I have not seen any that have an extension tube that extends toward the substrate.
Is it possible to do that? I just think you could filter more of the bottom debris.
Or, will doing that impede water flow out of the tank?
