just aquired a 5ft tank with a 3ft sump. This will be a freshwater aquarium. I have never used sumps before so not sure whether to block of drain hole and use 2 external filters or try with the sump. What is more economical and quieter.
Also has anyone a diagram of how to set this sump up, it has one weir in corner and one drain hole in bottom of weir, most diagrams i see have 2 drain holes.
what type of pump would i need to run this
i am useless with anything technical so please keep as simple as poss
Thank you Jo

sump sump sump!

much better for your tank, as it increases the overall water volume, allows you to hide evrything awayand gives a lot more swimming space because of this. it also makes waterchanges and medicating easier.

cheaper aswell :)
