I would love to obtain them and since snails travel much easier than fish or shrimp I would expect places to start stocking them. Has anyone seen them for sale yet?

Maidenhead aquatics is where I got mine they had a few species. They are cool critters but they do munch their way through plants at least the species I have do, even java ferns are not safe with them.

Apparently I may have seen some in a aquatic shop in Milton Keynes afew weeks ago but did not buy any as I was having my shrimp fix at the time...they were £5 each, the snails that is.

I say apparently cause I thought they were dominican MTs but they were too big for that and some helpful people here thought they might be Sulawesi snails instead.

Maybe going back in a few weeks if you want me to have a look in the same store...or I could find the details for the shop online for you. Then I can have an excuse for my partner so that I can go back and buy more shrimp and snails! :ninja:

Hmm if you would be able to post them I would be happy to pay whatever they cost and the postage as im up in Scotland.

Eating plants is a worry though as they would be going into a planted tank.

This is the place i saw them in www.hobbyfish.net. (In the Milton keynes shop)...if you still want some give us a shout in a week...I can try to send you pictures of them when i go there (if they still have them that is) or you can contact the shop direct and see if they will send...I would not be able to guarantee that they will be 100% though when you get them as scotland is a long way to go!

Maybe a good idea to ask if any shop near you will get them in for you??

Tyler they are in another tank with the sulawesi shrimp so the moss is safe, after seeing them in action I can see why there are so few plants in the lakes they come from
T I got them on a day trip outside London, I have heard that they dont travel too well, guess the problem with Sulawesi inverts is partly keeping them warm enough in transport. If you dont get any and still want them I will have lots of little ones in a few months. I wouldnt recommend them for your lovely new shrimpytown, your plants would not last long.

Thanks a lot man but yeh they were going into my shrimp tank so I'll have to leave them. I just got 12 baby mixed coloured apple snails so they will have to tickle my snaily fancy for now.
