Ive been searching for a nice big home for my betta, and ive been shocked at what some sites and stores are passing as suitable!! some of them wouldnt make a neon happy never mind a betta!

Would this be ok? i dont think its overkill but would the air pump and filter be ok etc.

Just wondering if anyone has tried a biuble, or orb?

Thanks

Danny

betta tank?

Danny,

You're right. I'm also sometimes disturbed by what constitutes for a Bette homa. However, nice though it is, that one you've found seems very expensive for what it is.

I got one of these:

I actually got it from my local Pets At Home in January for about £35 (it was on special offer.) I'm pretty sure its only 20 litres but Barney my veil tail is very happy in there on his own. The only thing I would advise is to spend a bit more and replace the heater because the one that comes with the tank seems to struggle to get above 22 degrees and you can't adjust it. The filter is deal for Bettas as its located in the hood and barely disturbs the water.

TT.

Thats exactly the kind of thing that i have been looking for. yeah since i posted that i have found some better than the biube and a lot cheaper!

This one looks perfect and would leave me with lots of money to make him rite at home :)

Thanks for the reply

Danny

Wilkos in UK have tanks for a fiver, air pumps about £6 and lovely artificial plants for 99p. You can get heaters on ebay for about a tenner.
