Suitable Catfish

Any idea what catfish would be suitable to keep in my 450 litre with my oscar, Texas, dempseys, and jewels? Sev has been rehomed... Wasn't really my cup of tea lol

Long term, you still have too much in that 450l to live with a 14" Oscar, a "wet pet" tank for the Oscar alone demands 75 gallons. To build a community around them demands a 125-150 gallon tank, as in a 5x2x2 would be the very lowest end of the scale you should go, but ideally you would want a 6-footer or more.

Suitable catfish in a larger tank that spring to mind are Common or Sailfin Plecs, or one of the larger Synodontis (notata could work well if you wanted something that would be diurnally active, providing you are not blasting the tank with intensive light, my ~25cm specimen cruises the 5x2x2 all day long)...

Ok thanks for the reply. I had a feeling i had too much. I Wasn't 100% on getting the Oscar... The other half likes them lol may rehome him before he gets too big when she pops out shopping lol could possibly have more options then

The tank is 151 x 51 x 66 by the way...

Plans are on the go to get either a 6x2x2 or maybe, just maybe a 6x3x3. That's as big as I can go...

Will have either 1 within the next 3 months after holidays and my little girls birthday
