I'd like to add another fish to my 10 gallon tank. Currently there are two platies and a well behaved dwarf puffer  living in harmony. I orginally wanted to put some ghost shrimp in, but I'm positive my puffer would eat them. Is there something else that is a good scavenger (eating algae and left over fish food) like the ghost shrimp? I'd like something other than a pleco, though. :/ Would a type of cory work? I really haven't looked into their diet yet, I just think they're so darn cute. I had thought about a bumblebee goby when I first saw them a couple of days ago, but found out it would definately not work with them having a tendency to be fin nippers, and picky eaters (preferring live food).

I have just introduced a Cory into my tank and he's like a little hoover. He seems to go round every square inch of the tank hoovering up anything thats on the bottom.

So I would say a Cory Cat would be ideal, although I would also feed it with catfish pellets just incase theres not enough fallen food.

Im not sure what type of cory I have, but hes grey with white speckles if this helps. And yeh I suppose he is a little cute.

Corys are lovely fish, but they do go round in groups, so I wouldn't think of getting just one. I've found that peppered Corys are very hardy little fish, and my panda corys are also very sweet, they also stay smaller than peppers so they might be more suitable for your tank. :D They are great scavengers but remember to boost their diet with other things, all of mine love blood worm (though I think most fish do). Catfish pellets are great too, but you can't beat live food. :)

i have a cory catfish and so far he has done his job well, although i give him his own food evry other day for piece of mind
