I'll be getting a 35gal soon so wondering what fish I'm going to have..i like puffers and of other oddballs (thus, oddball's institute  )..So? Any suggestions anyone

What fish are compatible with Colomesus asellus?

P.S - It'll be a FW tank

any thing thats its size or bigger or what can swim faster, maybe another one

I prefer to keep all my puffers in a species tank, but if your set on have tank mate they will have to be a fast swimming fish and/or willing to stick up for it's self. Nothing small the puffer may view it as food.

A Green Spotted Puffer, or a couple of figure 8's would go nicely in it. Though, thats only if you are willing to do brackish...

I thought SAPs are less aggressive towards others. hm..
How many SAPs can I keep in a 35gal.?

even though it is not a puffer. may i suggest a needlefish??? or an ABF.
Oh no, I'm not considering only puffers, other oddball suggestions are also welcome. I donno much about needlefish but they seems cool. Can you please give me the scientific name for me to do some research? And what fish is ABF? Just a guess, but is it African Butterfly Fish??

GPS and fig.8 seems nice too but I havn't tried brackish setups yet and I think I better not try it..at least for now.

Can I house reed fish?

Wow that's a nice pic. Thnx 4 da info

Is it possible to keep a reed fish in a 30gal?

lol, you'r welcome. hmmmmm, is that the same thing as a ropefish??? if it is I think you can, but im not sure.

Yup, that's the same as ropefish. I like it but my bro says its like a big worm and mom says its like a snake lol.
According to this you need at least 400L, 105gal it seems. Ok, that's out of question now. hm..

How many SAPs can I keep in a 30g? Is it 3?
It seems I can keep a Senegal bichir in a 30g too.
hm..

OH...........go for the bichir

i have two in my 65 gallon and they are such wonderful fish and full of personality, then again, that would probably make it a one fish tank.

or you could try a Leopard Ctenopoma tank. f.y.i. the scientific name would be Ctenopoma acutirostre
