Suggestions On Stocking 50g

Hello,

I am looking after someones tank and they want some suggestions on "colourful fish." Basically she wants a busy tank, fun to look at, with lots of colour. She likes bigger fish, like gouramis. She already has two, so I think I should build around that.

It is a 50g. No cichlid suggestions please, she's really new to this and I really don't think she'd be able to properly take care of them. And no really rare fish/hard to find. I live in a pretty small town, hard to get anything special here.

Any suggestions?

10-12 tiger barbs, 1 color or mix and match, a group of six platies and 6-8 kuhli loaches. This mix would add lots of activity and color to the tank.
