Suggestions For Removing Paint From Aquarium Glass.

Hi all,

I painted three sides of my 10G tank with black matt paint. I've read the paint tin, as I had some left over, and it doesn't advise what the base of the paint is. Can anyone recommend the easiest way to remove it. I'd rather use something that broke the paint down, rather than have to scrape the paint off, but I'm open to suggestions.

Doesn't matt come off a surface like glass with just water? Or am I having a blonde moment?

Well, if it's a latex paint, it'll just peel right off. You can just pull it straight off. If it was oil based paint, you'll need paint thinner.

The danger is that if you use a product that softens or disolves the paint, it could well do the same to the silicon. The safest way is to scrape it off.
