Okay,my 18"x12"x15" has been set up for a week or 2 now and things are coming on nicely. Since the rock was already cured,my tank readings are all 0.
Ill be going on holiday tomorrow so wont be getting and inverts or fish yet. When i get back ill get some more live rock, leave it for a week, get some RO,do a water change, see if the nitrates stay at a reasonable level and get my CUC. Ill be gone for little less than a fortnight, when i get back will i be seeing alot of changes eg algae and diatoms?
My custome made beech hood/canopy came in today so i brought that home. At the moment theres only a 24W T5 light in there at the minute but my dads drill broke so we cant put in the other 18W unit.
Will 42 Watts be sufficient for corals etc (will be waiting a good shile before i get some?)
Oh yeah,my live rock came with some sorta corals attached,(i think theyre xenia or something?) should i be feeding them, theres about 12 on this piece of live rock? :)
Thanks alot
BTW does anyone have a pic of what a 2 week old tank shoudl look like?

Ive got a hydor koralia 1 going and an interpet PF3 internale filter witch has some stuff specially made for marine tanks which removes ammonia etc (made by seachem) and a phosphate remover withe carbon in there too, which is also made by seachem. Are these stopping the ammonia and that going high or are they low cause its cycled? ANd is the phosphate remover stopping the algae growing? SG is around 0.024 and ill be getting a refractometer when i get back from holiday :yahoo:
