Hi All Last night i Noticed my Bronze Pleco's Tail had red patches all over it, So I moved im into the hospital tank with fresh clean same temp water (with Prime dechlorinator)...

This morning I woke up his entire tail had gone red. I went to the Fish store to ask advice, they gave me some anti-bacterial tablets (just taken them back)..

But I was way too late, He died whilst i was out.. (Wondering if this was a bacterial Infection of some sort)

He was a year old. (ish)..

The other bottom dwellers are only 3 Khulli Loaches .

All My Water params have been checked by 2 LFS That I trust 100% (will update with numbers and stuff when I find where i have put them). And They have said it wasnt anything to do with the water..DESPITE it being stupidly cloudy (this only started 2 days ago). And the Tank has been set up for almost 16months and was cycled before adding anything...

The remaining fish are a couple of dalmation mollies, A few Guppies, 5 Neons and thats all thats left, everything seems to be just dropping dead for no apparent reason..

What can I do to STOP the tank clouding up as bad,, and to stop all my fish dropping dead on me, It's almost like something is killing them all one by one, (coincidently it started with the neons dropping first)

Is your filter working properly? I only ask as one of my filters for some reason stopped working and I got cloudy water (tank has been set up 6 months).

One of the filters did Suddenly stop working for no apparent reason. (wasnt clogged)...

So I put a spare filter i had in the spare room, with the old filter media in the new filter...

It's still making no difference to the cloudyness of the water.

I too had a filter fail, got cloudy water and while my water stats were good after a 24 hour nitrite spike, I think I had an oxygen crash that almost killed fish. Are your fish gasping? Or breathing fast? Particularly hard on the bristlenose as they just don't seem to think to go to the top. If you suspect oxygen problems, lower your water level so the filter makes a splash and throw an air stone or bubble bar in termporarily and daily water changes. With that my cloudy water cleared after 5 days... oh and I added a UV fliter too.
