The suction cups on my internal filter stopped sticking. It sticks to the side for a minuite, and then falls down to the bottom of the tank. :/

Is there another way to get it to stick to the side? (new suckers arnt avaliable)

What (brand / make) filter ?

Fill a cup with boiling water and drop the suction cups in it.
It'll add a bit more life for a while.

... and give the inside of the tank glass where you want to put the filter a quick rub with one of those plastic scourers ( a clean one that hasn't been used in the washing up!).

Algae gets on the glass which you can't see and stops the suction being created.

Thanks bobf. I think the filter wasnt designed welll. With the new filters, the suction cups do not need to be removed from the glass. With mine, whenever the filter needed cleaning, the suction cups came of will it. This is probably why they lost their adhesive function.
