any recommendations for suckers which do not grow beyond 2 inches? do suckers eat algae or just the scraps of left overs?

The only "suckermouth" type tropical fish that dont exceed 2" are oto's (otocinclus species), they are good algea eaters but need to be kept in small groups, minimum of 3 fish.

i saw on a site that borneo suckers grow to 4.5cm which is about 2 inches. i may be wrong, but ill leave it to the experts to correct me

There isn't technically such a thing as a "sucker fish". Fish with suckermouths are usually algae eaters, but that doesn't mean they'll eat algae in your tank.

I'm a little concerned because I believe your tank is only 2 gallons, is that right?

It is true but borneo suckers (sometimes known as butterfly plecs) are really a cold water fish, even though they come from tropical areas they live in fast moving mountain streams which stay cooler then the lower areas. Sustained periods in warm water will kill the fish :( .

if I were to get tons would they mature, and would thye breed? Cause my 160 gallonw oudl make them feel as if they have their own world.. Again how could you make them breed?

Butterfly plec = Hillstream loach, doesn't it? Why does one fish have so many different names. So far I've heard them called:

Butterfly plec
Stingray plec
Hillsteam loach

and now Bornea Suckerfish. Whatever next?

Mind you, "stingray plec" must be the least accurate common name I've ever heard (given that it doesn't sting, isn't a ray and isn't a plec).

i got a white cory.. wondering how big can it grow to? its around 1 inch
Corys usually grow to about 2", but the problem is they are schooling fish so you should ideally have a group of at least 6. If that is not possible, 3 as an absolute minimum.
