Is there such thing as a small pleco?

I've been after a pleco with great patters/ attractiveness you could say, in a store the other day I saw a zebra pleco but at £140 I had a small heart attack

I was told it wouldn’t get bigger than 4inches (it’s way to expensive either way)

main question is do some stay small and if so can you guys attach some pics in the comments?

Yes there is you have clown plecos that are 9.99 and don't grow more then six inches. You have bristlenose plecos in a bunch of varieties you have options. There's a bunch of plecos that stay relatively small very few stay smaller than 4 in though.

You might like this one :
Zebra Pleco (Hypancistrus zebra)
Dwarf Hypancistrus (Hypancistrus sp) /
Gurupa Hypancistrus Pleco (Hypancistrus sp)
Rubber Nose Pleco
Clown Pleco

Peckoltia species and bristlenose catfish are small suckermouth catfish.
Otocinclus catfish are even smaller but not very colourful.

Hypancistrus debilittera L129, the Colombian Zebra Pleco. They can get up to 4 inches, but are often around 3. They still shouldn't be in a tank smaller than 20 gallons though.

Then there is the pitbull pleco, Parotocinclus jumbo. They tend to max out around three inches, but are more often around 2 inches. They don't have great patterns. But I think they are pretty. They should be kept in groups and are quite shy. So again, a smaller tank isn't great for them.

Id go with clown plecos if one is looking for a smaller inexpensive patterned pleco.
They get around 3 to 4 inches and unlike zebra or snowflake plecos are usually around 10 dollars instead of 50.
Bristlenose are popular and get around 5-6 inches and are usually around 10 dollars until you get into the fancy long finned albinos that are closer to 30$

I wish I could get a zebra Pleco for £50! in the uk I’ve seen 1 store that’s had 1 and they wanted £140 ($175) I’ll keep a look out cheers guys thanks for the help

Clowns are common, have nice pattern, stay small... but need wood (many pleco species do so research well), and can be pretty shy.

Pier aquatics in Wigan usually have zebra plecos in, I think they're around £80 there. They also usually have loads of different pleco species in.
