Success - I have sourced clear Ammonia in UK

Just thought I would share that I have found some clear/pure ammonia in UK. It is a branded product - Jeyes Kleen Off - Ammonia Household Cleaner. I bought it recently in a tiny local hardware store and then called the company to confirm the ingredients. It is 9.5% ammonia and the rest is pure water. Jeyes were very helpful so I am sure if you call them they could provide a list of suppliers.

I hope this helps someone else in the same predicament.

Maybe there should be apinned topic on where people have been able to get Amonia in the UK. Especially as it stops fish being used.

thats great info. Jeyes products can be found in most DIY shops and places like B & Q, you know what is very silly, i have the product in the shed for ages which i had used to clean the drains once in a blue moon , but never gave it a thought..i feel like a real idiot. Anyway cheers..

I have found that although a lot of shops carry the Jeyes Kleen Off range, not many of them have the Ammonia Household Cleaner product, as it requires a special licence. For example, Wilkinson's have recently stopped stocking the Ammonia Household Cleaner and I also couldn't find it in my local B&Q warehouse.
