Substrate Question

I will be starting up a planted 90 gallon soon. I want to have two different kinds of substrate to show contrast.It needs to be pretty deep. I want it to be mainly Aquariumplants.com's substrate and then have a "path" of ADA Bright Sand. It should be something like this:

This is an overhead picture (looking down into the tank from the top). My question is how much of each do I need to have this kind of style? Is one 5 gallon bucket and one 2kg bag enough?
