As I have been posting I am setting up a Goldfish 38g.

2 Bubble Eyes 1 Lionhead (most likely)

I don't want sharp Objects in the tank besides maybe just substrate.

I was wondering would Sand be ok for Bubble Eyes or should I just go with a bare bottom tank?

No plants or Rocks.

There isn't really any difference in the maintanence of a sand substrate and bare bottom, but goldfish certainly enjoy sifting around in sandy substrates looking for food (its natural behavior for them), so i would personally advise a fine sand substrate (of course using a sand safe for freshwater tanks) :good: .

It would be best to have a bit of decor too, having something to focus on will help reduce the general stress levels of the goldfish, for example silk (not solid plastic) aquarium plants make safe decor for fancy goldfish  .
