Substrate Depth?

Whats the ideal depth for Eco complete in a planted tank? My new tank measures 60x30x35cm.

I have loads of spare EC and plan on planting Hairgrass, HC & Rotala.

I think 1.5 - 2 inches deep is about right.

Yeh go for around 2 inches, less and you'll have trouble keeping the plants down until they get roots.

I plan to make a slight slope so 2 inches at the front and 2.5-3 at the back?
