I dont know how many of you have sturgoens but after recentley losing my diamond sturgeon I came across this site and thought I would pass it on as it has loads of very good info:
Good site you found there, its interesting how massive so many sturgeons grow though, i would personally like a sturgeon for my ponds when i get around to building them although i do not know wether i have the gallons to provide a good home for one yet.
Glad you found the site infomative, that was one point I meant to say in my original post that anything not covered on the site they are happy to receive e-mails and they reply quickly. Unfortunatley it was to late to save my diamond sturgeon but my siberian sterlet is doing really well and is now just under 16".
I had been ill for a week or so and hadnt been out to the pond but when I did I found the diamond back bent double floating under the lilly leaves. I removed it from the pond into a large container with plenty of air going in and found out from that website that it was starving to death. The guy from the site got back to me to say that by this stage it was to late. That is when I found out that the food I was feeding to my pond last year was probably to blame. Looking back I dont know why I changed my food, but I changed back to my original food now and everything is fine. I just wish I didnt have to lose my sturgeon to find out my food was c**p.
