Stupid question

I have a pregnant guppy in a five gallon tank and I just noticed that she has a clearish white patch on her back. It doesn't look like ich, more like a flake of skin. It's about as big as this ( ) space and it wasn't there yesterday. I don't want her to die, I seem to have enough trouble keeping females alive as it is.

Could it be fungus?

I've seen the same type of thing on my Keyhole cichlids now and again it disppears within a couple of days so i assume its just a scale that has come loose. Keep a close eye on it if it grows its probably some kind of fungus.
