I bought a little 5 gal tank at a garage sale for $2, it came with a working light and a non working filter. I've taken the filter casing off the impeller motor, my first attempt to fix it was successful. It I stick a screw driver in the the impeller motor an nudge the impeller the filter starts right up. Thing is every time I unplug it I have to nudge the impeller again to get it to start up. I can't see any way to get the impeller out of the filter see what is wrong with it. Any suggestion on how to get it to start up right when I plug it in?
