Hello,

Yesterday morning I awoke to one of my fish missing.. I found him to be stuck in the coral in the tank.  My Father and I broke the coral to get the fish out and he is very beat up.  I am wondering if it is normal for fish to look like he does in the healing stage or am i just prolonging his suffering? - Please someone help!!
he is badly beat up and where the scales are missing there is almost like a white cotton substance growing over those spots (I'm hoping it means he's healing), is this normal and a good sign or a bad sign of infection?

Please any help or guidance is much appreciated!!

The white cotton substance is likely an infection.

I assume this is a saltwater tank.  If it is, I'm not sure of the next step... like a 'freshwater' bath.

But, I am a wrong and this is a freshwater tank, then you can follow these steps to aid the fish in healing.
