Yup, that's black beard algae and an absolute pain in backside to get rid of. Long light exposure seems to be a factor in its growth and I usually find it in places of strong water flow, like my filter outlets

Siamese Algea Eater they clean it up.

Lol, I usually go with one but get a mix bag SAE, Hillstream Loache, otto just to get the results.

Hillstream loaches have different requirements from most other fish (very fast water flow, lower temperatures) so make sure they are compatible with your tank/tank mates before buying.

They can get pale on fins when stressed or sick however, a heater always keep them healthy at 28°c.

28 deg C is too warm for the majority of hillstream loaches - 20 to 24 deg is better for them.

However, buying a fish to solve a problem is not a good idea. Fish should only be bought if the fish keeper wants that species and they are suitable for the tank/water etc

Pretty good advice n response

I agree that it isn't wise to buy fish to solve algae problems, rather, fix the imbalance in the tank 👍🏻 start by cutting back on the length of time you have the lights on for. My lights are running on a lower percentage from 2 until 9pm with a tank full of live plants
