Btw, based on the photo of your rocks, I think they are safe and won't release/leech any minerals into the water.
I might had seen them in the internets.

You can also consider Micron filter bag/sock which can trap small particles but I haven't used it before.
The micron is usually used by marine fish keeper.
Or you can try to find some socks/bags that are used for food preparation.

But you have to think of how to install it to the output of your filters.

Id do a vinegar test for the rocks. Have you tried Water Clarifier? Are you dosing with Water conditioner
