Strong enough filter

is a cascade 300 power hang on filter strong enough to support a new world cichhlid tank with real big fish like angels and sevs.

Probubly not, if your going to have big fish that means big poo. so whats the max. size tank it can filter, and how big is the tank that its filtering.

it says max size 100 and it is a 55 gallon tank.
The next size down says 50

i have a filter rated for 60 gallons on my 55 with cichlids, its doing fine

Well i try to control myself but its really hard so i am pretty sure it will start out understocked and end up slightly overstocked.

I have 2 filters 300 gph each on my 55g I think that's around 100-150 gallon filtration Try to get another filter of similar size or sightly smaller, I usually feel more comfortable if I over filter My 20g long has a huge sponge filter, box filter, and a HOB 10g power filter on it, and I have a 30 gallon with 2 aquaclear 30's and an aquaclear 300 on it
