So I gave my older sister my white betta last month and she bought a nice 10 gallon set up for him and added a few albino cories for the bottom. :) She feeds him frozen bloodworms almost everyday as he doesn't seem interested in anything else now.
I feed him a shelled pea every other day. Is this healthy or not? What should we do? He doesn't seem to be interested in anything else. :dunno:

I rescued a betta not too long ago. He almost choked on a betta bite and since then refuses to eat them. I give him peas and bloodworms, that is all he will eat. I have no idea if it healthy or not, but he is still alive.

That's all little Liza gets, cuz that's STILL all she will eat (AAAH!). I give her several worms every other day followed up by peas. She just won't eat anything else. I've tried everything, and still no way.

She's still very small, almost like she's not getting fed anything - and I don't know if it's because of what she eats - because she's not getting enough nutrition or what, but she eats like a HOG. (She gets like 8 - 10 worms every time I feed her, along with several hunks of peas, so it's not like she's not getting food).

Did he used to eat pellets?

I got him from walmart and he is my only boy from walmart. He is also my only boy who won't touch anything but the frozen bloodworms and sometimes peas. I am not sure what they were feeding them at walmart, but it was some type or orange flake...almost like a goldfish flake. I knew that because when I bought him, there were orange flakes all in his cup. It didn't look like he was eating those either. He was really thin when I got him, now he has a huge belly all the time! He eats about 8-10 bloodworms a day and then the next day he'll have a pea or so.

He never did eat pellets when I tried feeding them to him before, just the frozen bloodworms and sometimes the brine shrimp.

Are they Hikari bloodworms? I don't know if any of the other makers do this, but Hikari adds extra nutrients to their frozen bloodworms. It's actually a really good diet, though variety is admittedly better. It really shouldn't do any harm whatsoever.

That's really good to hear.
The frozen bloodworms I give to them is Hikari. I'm glad to learn they add nutrients, it makes me feel better about the situation then.
