I was checking on my stirped rapheal today and I noticed what looks like big burns on it. It's nocturnal so about once a week I scare him out of his hiding spot to make sure nothing is wrong with him. Today he appears to of burnt himself, my best guess would be the heater. The burns look some what old so it must of happened earlier this week, my main concern is a very large one on his belly. What sould I use to make his burns heel faster and not get infected?

When my common pleco got burned on his back on the heater because that used to be his hiding spot and I used stress coat for a few days and I also used it to help his skin when he jumped out of the tank and was out for about 10mins.

What exactly do the burns look like? Are they red and open sores or red and have a cloudy film over them or somthing else? Do you have any recent stats for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates?

Well when my common pleco got burned it was red. But now its just a scar and you can see where he got burnt.
