Could very well be a case of swim bladders disease.
There are many different causes.
How long has he been like this?
How long have you had him?
What are your aquarium parameters?

Had him for a couple years in a 55gal. pH is 7.5, nitrite is 0ppm, ammonia is 0ppm, nitrate is 20 ppm.
He just started doing this today.

Have you added anything new to the tank in the past month?

can you post a video here?
i think if we see a video of it moving, that will solve the problem better.
(you need to upload to a 3rd party then link it here)

He doesn’t move now, earlier yesterday he would move between surface and bottom of the tank. Now he just hangs there.

I added a clown loach which died on Tuesday, and some new plants.

Wipe the inside of the glass down with a clean fish sponge. This removes the biofilm on the glass and the biofilm will contain lots of harmful bacteria, fungus, protozoans and various other microscopic life forms.

Do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate every day for a week. The water changes and gravel cleaning will reduce the number of disease organisms in the water and provide a cleaner environment for the other fish to recover in.
Make sure any new water is free of chlorine/ chloramine before it is added to the tank.

Clean the filter if it hasn't been done in the last 2 weeks. However, if the filter is less than 6 weeks old, do not clean it. Wash the filter materials/ media in a bucket of tank water and re-use the media. Tip the bucket of dirty water on the garden/ lawn. Cleaning the filter means less gunk and cleaner water with fewer pathogens.

Increase surface turbulence/ aeration to maximise the dissolved oxygen in the water.

Monitor remaining fish and post pics and info if any of them act unusual

The clown loach or plants might have introduced a disease.

Pictures of the dead and live fish so we can check them for disease?

How long has the tank been set up?
How often do you do water changes and how much do you change?
Do you gravel clean the substrate when you do a water change?
Do you dechlorinate the new water before adding it to the aquarium?

How often and how do you clean the filter?

I do not have the dead fish. I can get you pic of all but the stripped Raphael or the cherry barbs. However the spotted Raphael and pictus catfish hid under a log and it’s too dark to get a good picture.

In my second tank this morning my frog mouth catfish is now floating at the surface and swimming lazily/haphazardly around. I don’t know what is going on. It’s the tank with the sandy bottom pictures(frog mouth catfish and bichir)

What are you feeding the catfish?

If they are in different tanks and the catfish are dying, then it is either something in the water or something they are eating.

Do a big water change and gravel clean each day and see if it helps. Stop feeding the food you are using and try something else.

They are getting pellets. it’s the same brand that the Raphael has been eating since I got him a couple years ago.

you added a clown loach to one tank that lost the original fish. Did you add anything to the second tank?

How old is that container of fish food?
