Striped Peacock Eel Eel Question

so i was looking up random things online and i came across something called the lesser spiny eel (thats the name they gave it ) but it showed a picture of an eel looking almost exactly like mine and said it was brackish but not only dose every thing else say fresh my eel has grown 2 inches while in my care living with my fresh water comunity tank so is it brackish in the wild and fresh in aqueria like a reverse figure 8 or is it jsut full of crap

Striped peacock eels (M. aral) are the only commonly traded spiny eel that occasionally enters brackish water. They neither need or appreciate it in aquaria though.

alright thanks be it what it may i think i would have left him fresh anyway becouse hes grown alot and seems rather content with his tankmates ( and the ton of food he can dig around for)
