Cheers Colin, so cheap i think you are right, i will change them bothUsually it is the globe that is dieing when it starts to flicker on and off. It is a good idea to replace the globe and starter at the same time as they wear together and if you use an old starter with a new globe they sometimes are unable to get the light to come on. They aren't very expensive. Starters will set you back about a dollar and the globe will vary from a couple of dollars up to 30 or 40 depending on the type of globe.
