Stringy "Gunk" On Severum - What Is It?

I have had these Severum for about 3 days now. I just noticed some "gunk" on one of them. I have seen this stuff in the fishtank before I got the severums but only in small quantity it usually ends up attached to a plant, or sometimes a fish.

I am wondering if this is being produced by the Severum, or is it some sort of algae of something else in my tank and just getting caught up on the severum?

Am: 0.0
Ni: 0.0
Na: 40

Strands of cotton on fins can be columnris.

Just add some pimafix to see if that clears it up.
Keep a look out for fluffy white patches on mouth or body of the fish.
