Hi All,
I've got a really stressy Pictus in my tank... i've got 3 of them in total but 1 of them is getting really defensive over this 1 bit of bogwood in the tank... chasing other fish away from it. Is this normal behavior or am i gonna hear the lil patter of tiny fins soon.... (i hope so)

I'm afraid you can forget any thoughts of pictus cat fry, none of the Pimeloid species have never been bred in captivity as their spawning needs have not yet been studied and so cannot be replicated.

Territorial behaviour is normal ammoungst pictus cats during daylight hours with each fish taking up a sheltered residence a short distance away from the others. At night they should come out of their chosen spots and start to school.

I echo the above.

My 4 have each set up their little territories (funny to watch as the pleco comes and sits right in them and they can't do a thing being half his size  ) every now and then they wander over to each others and will chase and buzz at each other (though this is far less than when they were first introduced).

Woulkd they be likely to breed anyway asthey seem to grow far smaller in aquaria?
