Stress?

ok for the first time fishy is showin stress bars how the heck do i de stress him? and could he sense that i just lost my kitty and thats whats stressed him?

He could be stressed for any number of reasons, most of which we probably don't even know about! He might have just seen something that disturbed him. Who knows. If his water checks out ok and he is acting fine otherwise, I wouldn't worry about it. Sorry about your kitty.

no hes doing his hiding thing ive put some parasite meds and his tank and the bars are gone but hes still hiding

is he in view of any other bettas? perhaps hes had his ego crusehed , i used to put my male betta bowls together and watch them go at it back before my vt died userally for 15 minutes, one would userally submit and try to retreat. after i move them they do look a bit down and stressed but after a while they get over it. very sry about ur kitty
