Hi,

I have had my tank for about a year and last month I noticed these strange bubble-like things on all the live rock. They start of small and green then after a while they go clear and get bigger. The clown fish seem to like bursting them.

Could anyone tell me what they are?

Cheers

I am by no means an expert, but I saw a bunch of green bubble looking things growing on rock at my Local Fish Store last night and asked what it was. He said "Green Bubble Algae" and said when it starts growing out of control he puts an emerald crab in there cause they like to eat them. He showed me another tank where he had a crab in there and he was eating that stuff like he had just hit the buffet line! Very cool to watch. I don't know if this is the same stuff you have, so maybe someone else can confirm that part.

If I remember correctly it said you had one post. If that is true, Welcome to the Forum! :kana:

:D

Tripod doesn't allow remote linking so I can't see your pics. Try www.tinypic.com - sounds like green bubble algae to me too. If your clowns are having fun popping it, let 'em
