I've had two tuxedo platys for a while (they were my first fish) both male that never had any problems. Actually one of them thought he was a gourami (I think) he always followed my blue gourami around and even shared a cave with one of them. Anyways, I gave my blue gouramis to a friend today because they swim so fast and need at least 30 Gal. Anyway, since the gouramis are gone, he's been chasing the other tux platy around all over the tank. The poor guy is hiding in the plants right now. So WTH is going on???? I'm going to the LFS tomorrow to get a pair of dwarf gouramis (already named them hee hee) maybe he'll think he's a gourami again.

My livebearers may chase any fish around trying to mate, and they don't seem to care what species it is, or even what sex.

I'd get at least three female platies and see how that works out.
