I have 4 Mollies (2 female white, 1 male dalmation, and 1 I was told was a male, but has developed quite a belly on it
). Anyway one of the white Mollies just hides out behind the bubble stone, and anywhere else she can. She comes out to eat, but only after a few seconds. When we bought the 4 fish, the lady told us that the dalmations were males, and that the white ones were "very pregnant"(like fry in a couple days). Yea, well that was like a week ago and no fry. But that is okay. I guess my question would be (1) why is this one mollt hiding out, and (2) how can you really tell male from female?
