Strange Goldfish.

I was at one of my LFS's a day or so ago and saw a really strange goldfish. It looked like an egg fish because it had no dorsal,

But it had a small wen and it's back was completely straight from the front of his wen all the way down to his tail.

Was this just a very unhealthy fish, or what..?

Ranchu most likely - but it could equaly be a mix to explain the back.

It would be a lionhead as ranchus have very curved backs not straight

Hm. It's none of those. I'm going to buy it today (if they still have it) and I'll take a couple pictures.

Well you guys were right. I went in today and bought the guy. They called him a 'Lionhead Fantail' and was priced at $6.99 which is the most I've ever spent on a goldfish. He'll be my first goldfish aside from feeder comets. I'll post a picture in a few once he's out of his bag.. I still think he looks real funky though.
